Setting up an Xbox 360..

I am already assuming you have purchased an Xbox 360 before reading the tutorial on how to set one up, if not please do so!

1. Start off by taking all of the contents out of the box, checking everything is included. I am aware there are 3 different types of packages available from Microsoft. The Arcade, Pro and Elite. For this example, I am going to list the contents of the most convential seller being the Pro:

1 Xbox 360
1 Power Cable
1 Detachable 60GB Hard Drive (Packed full with demos and movie clips)
1 Multi Channel TV out cable (Both standard RYW and HD BGR)
1 Scart Adapter
1 Power Supply
1 Xbox 360 Controller
2 AA Batteries
1 Ethernet Cable
1 Headset
Instruction Manuels
Any games that are bundled, if any

Note: Only the Elite package comes with 1.2 HDMI cables, so don't be alarmed if your still routing round the corners of your box for it.

2. The beauty of this console is that you can position it in your space either vertically or horizontally, when you have made your mind up, start by plugging in the TV out cable into the back of the system.

3. Next, connect the power cable to the power supply, craftily followed by connecting the power cable to the system.

4. NOTE: For this step, make sure the plug sockets are switched off before plugging in your Xbox 360. If the vacant plug socket is switched off, proceed.

5. Depending on what television you have, you may need to use the scart adapter provided to plug into the back of your television. Some more modern televisions have the colour co-ordinated red, white and yellow sockets in the front, which ever method you choose, make sure the cables fit with the correct colours.

6. Gaming is minutes away! You have now successfully set up the hardware of your Xbox 360, procceed by tuning your TV to the correct AV output channel.

7. Once this is done, switch on your Xbox 360 eiter by pressing the button on the front side on the system or the centre X on the control pad, either way will give the system the notification to power on.

8. Insert your game that has been provided as a bundle or you have bought seperately into the disc drive by pressing the white button on the top end of the front panel of the system.

9. Wait for your game to load from the dashboard, 5 seconds should do it.

10. And thats all there is to it! Enjoy your gaming experience.
